CopyPaste News
CopyPaste 4.0
CopyPaste 4.0 is now totally OS 8 compatible. CopyPaste 4.0
has incorporated the work and suggestions of many people.
Its packed with new features so for the millions who loved
it before its now possible to love it even more. Those
familiar with CopyPaste will find it useful to read the new,
completely revised manual. The manual has been redesigned
with a view to make it clearer and easier to use. Many new
features are described in detail. The manual helps to get
even more out of CopyPaste.
CopyPaste for Windows 95 and NT
Good news for all those forced to work with Windows 95 and
NT. CopyPaste was recently ported to these platforms by
Raimund Jakobsmeyer, brother of Peter Hoerster (creator of
CopyPaste for Mac). If you want to get the PC version for
your office or a friend then you can download it free at
www.scriptsoftware.com. Ted Tatman a ZDNet Reviewer and the
first to review the PC version of CopyPaste gave it 5 stars
(their highest score) and surprised us by saying "Great
program! I've seen several of these type of utilities, but
yours is the first one that's done it 'right.' You ought to
sell it to Microsoft."
The CopyPaste tools contest
The CopyPaste tools contest is over and congratulations and
cash prizes go to the winners Miles Cohen, Sterling
Augustine, and Gregory Weston for their creations. Their
contributions will be seen as new utilities appearing in the
4.0 version of CopyPaste. Again a big thanks and
congratulations to the winners.
Continuing Cash Offer to Programmers
We want to continue the success of the programming contest
which led to some great and creative add on utilities for
CopyPaste. So anyone who creates a new and useful CopyPaste
utility (actually it is just an FKey) and submits it to us,
including the source code, will get a free registered version of
CopyPaste. Then the source and the utility will then be published
as Freeware on our home page. If we decide to include
your utility in CopyPaste you will be rewarded with $50 and
given a tribute on our web pages.
More details for programmers and the source code for most of
the CopyPaste utilities can be found on the CopyPaste home
pages at www.scriptsoftware.com
Many new tools could be created. Some possible area are
graphics filters, lexical analyzers, mathematical
calculators, date converters for Jewish or Hebrew or Islamic
calendars or others, programmers helpers like hex to dec to
bin, Internet tools which could act on Eddresses or URL's in
the clipboard, encryption/decryption, picture and icon
tools, and there are many more tools that can be invented.
The clipboard is central to everything on the computer so
tools created for CopyPaste are available and useful to
every program for changing and exchanging data.
Anyone with an interest in programming should feel free
to attempt it. Its really not that hard and beginners
will find its a good place to start. If you decide programming
is not for you remember that we can still use your suggestions.
Thanks for continuing to make CopyPaste the Mac users favorite utility.
